Deck and Fence Staining

Our Staining Methods & Procedures

We stain and seal decks and fences a different way!
Instead of using just pure high pressure to lift off the old stain, mold & mildew (which can damage your deck or fence by splintering the wood) we use a GENTLER APPROACH – a 3 step process to remove the old stain to the completion of the finished product, A Beautifully Stained & Sealed Deck or Fence!!! Steps 1 & 2 can usually be done in a day depending on the size of the deck or fence AND IF ANY ROTTEN WOOD NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. After Steps 1 & 2 are complete we wait for 2-3 dry days in a row before we apply the stain & sealer. If any light sanding needs to be done we will do that before applying the stain & sealer.
We use “PROFESSIONAL GRADE” HIGH QUALITY STAINS & SEALERS!!!

These are the steps we follow:

STEP 1: We blow off the deck with a blower to remove any leaves or pine straw. We will replace any rotten wood at this time. We use a powerful yet safe stripper to loosen any dirt, mold, mildew and stain. Then we use a light to medium pressure to remove the dirt, mold, mildew, stain, and stripper.

STEP 2: We use a wood brightener to brighten the wood bringing the wood back to its natural color (usually a yellow color) which helps the wood get ready to receive the stain.

STEP 3: We apply the stain & sealer to beautify the wood and protect it by allowing the oils of the stain & sealer to coat the wood, giving you the customer a beautifully stained & sealed deck, fence, gazebo, play area etc.

REMEMBER: THE DARKER THE STAIN THE BETTER THE UV PROTECTION FROM THE SUNS RAYS, WHICH HELPS YOUR STAINING & SEALING JOB TO LAST LONGER!!!
